Lucid wheel and rim protectors: finish first, diameter second
By ReferCharge. Updated 2026-08-18.
A rim-edge guard must match the wheel profile and finish, not merely the tire size. Air and Gravity also offer different wheel combinations, so a broad diameter range is not enough evidence of cross-model fitment.
Physical guard or cosmetic film
EDGE GUARD
Adds a physical profile
- Fits around the rim edge and depends on wheel geometry.
- Can have finish exclusions and requires careful seating.
VINYL
Changes appearance
- Covers a face or spoke area rather than cushioning the rim edge.
- Must match the exact wheel design to align cleanly.
Fitment order
- 1Identify Air or Gravity, then record the exact wheel diameter and design.
- 2Inspect the finish. Stop if the protector maker excludes diamond-cut or machine-polished wheels.
- 3Use the maker's suitability gauge and fitting directions before installing the full set.
- 4After installation, check that every join and securing point remains seated before driving.
- Read every finish exclusion on the maker page.
- Do not infer Gravity fitment from an Air listing.
- Replace or remove any section that loosens, deforms or contacts the tire.
Air option with explicit maker fitment
We do not own a Lucid, so nothing below is a hands-on review. Each pick is checked for fitment against the maker's own listed compatibility, and we say plainly where owners report problems or where Lucid's own part is the safer choice.
