Lucid screen protectors: coverage matters more than hardness claims

Air and Gravity use different display layouts. Start with the exact panels included, then choose clear film for maximum clarity or matte film for glare and fingerprint control.

Clear versus matte

CLEAR

Preserve contrast

  • Usually changes the display appearance least.
  • Reflections and fingerprints remain more visible.

MATTE

Reduce reflections

  • Can make glare and smudges less prominent.
  • May soften fine text or alter the display finish.
  • Confirm Air or Gravity, not just a 34-inch marketing measurement.
  • Check Glass Cockpit, Pilot Panel and rear-display pieces separately.
  • For Gravity, trim level can determine whether a rear display is present, as noted in Lucid's owner's manual.

Installation order

  1. 1Park, power down the display if the vehicle controls allow it, and work out of direct sun.
  2. 2Clean with the materials named by the protector maker and remove every visible dust speck.
  3. 3Dry-align each piece before exposing adhesive.
  4. 4Apply slowly, then stop if an edge overlaps a bezel, sensor or moving panel.
