Lucid referral code not working? What to check

Lucid's terms set eligibility and attribution rules that can affect a referral. The checks below explain those rules, but only Lucid can confirm what happened with your order. Checked against Lucid's referral terms on October 30, 2026.

You already had an order with Lucid

For a referral of someone else, Lucid credits the referrer only when the buyer is a first-time customer without an existing order. Use a code before you place your first order.

Another referrer was associated with you first

Each buyer can have only one referrer, and Lucid credits the first one associated with them, so use a code before you place an order rather than counting on adding or changing it later.

The referral was not attached to your order

An owner's link opens Lucid's configurator with the referral code in it, but that alone does not confirm the referral is attached to you. Before you place an order or pay, ask Lucid to confirm the referral and that you qualify. Do not rely on a referral pop-up to confirm a Gravity referral.

The vehicle or trim does not qualify

Points apply only to an eligible new Lucid, bought or leased. The Lucid Air Sapphire and Lucid Gravity Dream Edition are not eligible, and demo or used vehicles do not qualify.

The owner may have reached the yearly limit

Lucid says owners may redeem points for up to 4 referred customers per calendar year, and that the limit is reached at 4 confirmed orders using one referral link. Its terms do not say what the buyer receives after that. Choose a code before you start your order, and ask Lucid whether the owner's limit affects you: Lucid credits the first referrer associated with you, so changing codes later may not change your referral.

Where you live, or your age

Buyers and owners must live in the United States, be at least 18 and be legally able to take part. The program is void in Ohio and Virginia and anywhere else referral benefits are prohibited by law.

It is your own code

An owner who uses their own referral link to buy another Lucid is eligible for the buyer's reward on an eligible purchase, but receives no referrer reward on it.

The points have not arrived yet

Points accrue when a delivery made with a referral code is completed, not when the order is placed, and Lucid says they generally arrive within 60 days of delivery.

Common questions

Why did my Lucid referral not count?

Lucid's terms set several rules that can stop a referral counting: an existing order, an earlier referrer, an ineligible vehicle, or living where the program is void. Check the rules above, and ask Lucid to confirm the reason in your case.

When do Lucid referral points show up?

Points accrue when a delivery made with a referral code is completed, not when the order is placed, and Lucid says they generally arrive within 60 days of delivery.

What if the Lucid owner has used up their referrals?

Lucid says owners may redeem points for up to 4 referred customers per calendar year, and that the limit is reached at 4 confirmed orders using one referral link. Its terms do not say what the buyer receives after that. Choose a code before you start your order, and ask Lucid whether the owner's limit affects you: Lucid credits the first referrer associated with you, so changing codes later may not change your referral.
